We traded on the boat for nine years until, on May 27th 1995, we opened our present shop in Lansdowne Mews. It was a difficult decision to leave our much-loved narrow boat but we felt that God was telling us to move on into larger and more central premises.
Pat Knight became the manager at that time. When she left in 2000, Brenda Raven and Gill Daniel shared the responsibility until the end of 2004. Gill has now moved on to study and work as a chaplain, and Yvonne Haining and Heather Mikes have joined the ‘crew’.
We are a non-profit-making organisation, which means that all the money raised from sales goes into replenishing and improving our selection of stock, along with meeting our increasing overheads.
There has never been a ‘surplus’ - but always through faith in God’s promises, we have followed His path and are pleased to be able to serve you today. We value your prayers, your support as a customer and, if you are able, your financial giving.
The Charity is administered by five Trustees - Andrew and Sue Pitt, Howard and Coral Locke, and Sally Burton (Dennis’ widow), all with a vision to see the Gospel proclaimed in the heart of Bude.
